Self Experimentation Is Discouraged By The Medical Ethics Board

But there had been a question nagging at me for a while now and I had to check it out today.

You see, during Christmas shopping with a co-worker we got hungry something fierce and went to McDonalds. I hadn't been to one in quite some time but, as always, ordered myself a Coke to go with the meal. Something tasted wrong about it.

The other day, my department at work decided to go to McDonalds for lunch. Again, I ordered a Coke and it tasted funny. It was a different McDonalds though.

So, this morning I wandered through all the McDonalds in the Tri-Valley area. I ordered a small Coke in all of them in a very personal taste test challenge.

It was the same in every single one. Didn't matter if it was from behind the counter or a publicly accessible fountain of mass consumption. They all tasted waxy, like each and every fountain nozzle had received a blow job from the same extremely over lipsticked whore.

Perhaps its just something wrong with my tastebuds. Maybe the franchise owner around here decided he wanted a very special paraffin blend of the original formula. Or this is a diabolical scheme from the Coca Cola Company to mask the foul flavor of New Coke and distribute it to the masses, finally ridding themselves or billions of gallons left in reservoirs since 1985.

I charge you all to go to a McDonalds and order a Coke. Tell me if it tastes waxy. I must know.

ADDENDUM: You bastards who still live in the Queen's good graces get a better quality Coke product than us Colonials to begin with. I am still interested if McDonalds can trump HRM's government though.

Your addiction to Slurm Coke is deeply disturbing. Your tour of McDonalds even more so! Perhaps it's time to seek professional help. Or switch to opium suppositories.

I've always thought that McDonalds soda - no matter the flavor - tastes strange. Except, for some reason, orange soda. That stuff seems to taste fine.

Well, the next time I go to McDonald's, I'll let you know.

The last time was about 8 months ago, where we purchased two hash browns and some orange juice.

I wonder if it could be the cups... they are waxed coated after all.

Just another reason not to eat at McD's.

THE COKE TASTES FUNNY. JUST SORT OF WRONG. IT MAKES ME UNHAPPY, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE BRIT COKE WAS SO MUCH BETTER. AND IN TINY CANS.
